The Force is strong with this one....

I just wanted to let everyone know that I am making great strides in my efforts to make sure Emma grows up as a geek. She enjoys watching some of the old cartoon Transformers, likes watching Apollo 13 with Daddy, and she will almost sit through part of Star Wars: A New Hope.

She also has her own computer, though she will have to share with Spencer when he can do more that chew through the mouse cable (also, it's not on the internet!). She still wears princess stuff, but I am making progress!

Allegory of the Olive Tree

I just want to start off by saying that it is interesting how when I was first called to teach sunday school I did not want to do it. But now I am so excited to learn more about the stories in the scriptures and how they apply to my life. What is even greater is teaching and hopefully touching others lives with the scriptures.

I am attempting to share with you a nugget of truth from this weeks sunday school lesson. The main thing I got out of this allegory is that Heavenly Father wants us to know he sent his son Jesus to us & Jesus has done a lot for us. He is the Master of this Garden we call earth. And can be the servants of the Garden or we can be the tame branches on the olive tree. It is important for us to help nourish each other so we can all grow together in love and happiness.

Emma & the Easter Bunny

We went to the mall yesterday & Emma saw the Easter Bunny. I saw the long line and was just going to let the kids play in the play area. She said "mommy I want to go see the Easter Bunny!" I said, "No, look at the long line of people." She said, "Thats ok, we will just tell the people, Excuse me, Excuse me, Excuse me, & then we can be at the front of the line." This just cracked me up but we still did not get to sit on the Easter Bunny's lap. Maybe next year!

A Fireman, A Wedding & My Life

The last two weekends we have had friends over. I love friends coming to visit it is so fun to open up our house. It just seems my life is super busy!

Saturday was a busy day for us. We had Christina's wedding shower at my house . It was lots of fun & they got lots of great stuff!
Ok I have been really busy the last 2 weeks because my brother , the fireman, started to work for a new department & it is a lot closer to my house than his so he has been staying with us. I love my brother a lot but it is just making me really busy. Lucky for him he starts shift work next week and he won't be staying with us any more. Also he & my hubby have this friday off work YEAH!

What a steal

I got almost the whole set of Anne of Green Gables books @ Goodwill for $1 each. The set sells on Amazon for $29.04.

You know your a good mother when........

You know your a good mother when your 3 year old daughter has learned how to change the empty toilet paper roll.

comfort clothes

We women are not joking when we say we spend most days in our pjs all day. No it does not mean we don't get anything done, by all means we get a lot done. We just want to be comfortable when doing all that we do. I found these pjs in the mens section of Target. They are $15.99 I think and well worth it. Very soft! During the winter time they have long sleeve tshirts.
