6 years!

Well today is our 6 year anniversary. No we are not pregnant, this is the only picture I could find off hand. That is actually Emma in the womb. Well it has been a great 6 years and in honor the time we have spent together I want to share 6 reasons why I am glad I am married to Steve.

1. He loves me even when I am mad at him.

2. He buys me flowers often, not just special days.

3. He supports me in things I want to do, and is always there giving me encouragement.

4. He loves to cook and is always wanting to try new things.

5. He acts like he is in love with me as much as the day we met.

6. And last but not least he often lets me have my way!

Happy 6 year honey.

Musings

So I have only been to the gym twice this week. Sigh! I have really wanted to go more but sometimes other people matter more. When I say this I mean this:
My uncle passed away last week and I have spent a lot of time pondering this and missing the Snow's. All of them. Life is hard when you realize how much you miss being around family (cousins) that you have not seen for a while. It is also hard because you know we each have our own families and there is no way you can keep up with everyone. But the pain of missing them is still there.

On another note, I ended up watching my 2 yr old niece Kristen for a few days so Kelly could save some money with the babysitter and have a little break. I can't imagine being a single mom with 2 kids. Besides we loved having Kristen here. She and Emma played the entire time & only fought a few times. It was great! They are really becoming great friends.

Then it was our turn to watch my friend Katy's little boy- Bradley (seen pictured with my kids-on below freebie picture). We love trading bsitting with them because we never have to pay a sitter. It is great!

And now today is Friday and the gym closes at 5pm and Steve won't be home till after that. So I will try to go in the morning early tomm. I really miss it.

When I look at my life I am really grateful for so many things. But the recent passing of my uncle helped me to realize how grateful I am for my MOM. She called me last night and told me of the great spiritual uplifting time that she has had up there with her sister Kay & her family. And just stopped to think about how much we all depend on her for so many things. I just want her to know that I love her so much and I want to take care of her, because she has taken care of so many others over the years! I love you mom but I better stop now before I start crying again.

Happy Birthday MOM

Mom said the thing she wanted for her birthday was a pedicure from her daughters. It was fun to pamper her and the kids helped!

saturday was my mothers birthday and I just wanted to tell her I love her and she is so dear to me. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM

Happy Birthday Hannah

Here are pictures from Hannah's birthday party. She is 2 years old.

My soon to be niece had her birthday party at my house and David came on Friday with her to hang out. David had an interview with the Euless fire department. This is a picture of Hannah giving David a kiss.

Free Bee

My friend and I were shopping at Babies R US and they came and got us and said can we take a free picture of your kids. They were bored! Gotta love anything free.

This is a classic I just wanted to share. It is really long and makes for good background music. OK the truth is I am just learning how to put YOU TUBE videos up on my blog. I know I am slow!

This is a video that for some reason Kathy wanted on the blog:

Working out

O.k. so I have started working out again. Yes I know it has been a really long time. A lot of time wasted on feeling tired, making excuses and thinking I never had time to exercise. I guess the real motivating factor was that I was having a very hard time going to sleep at night and I also kept pulling muscles. Ouch! I decided I could not live like that. I even was kinda getting depressed. So I started small. Luckily we have a rec center in this small town we live in that is down the street (super close) and it is only $25.00 a year! Yes you heard me right!
Like I said I started small. I walked for 25 min on the treadmill. I did that for 2 days and moved farther from there. I added minutes and incline and speed. I also did the CV workout on the bike then I added the Elliptical in there and that thing is awesome. It burns a lot more calories and does it faster. I had to start out with 15 min on that and I am still at 15 min cause I have to admit it is hard!
So anyways I am feeling great now a days. Tired still -
physically - but great. Also we have taken the kids to the park more and on more walks. I told Steve I want to be an active Family. We have gotten into too much of a slump.
So now I would be doing good if I could just give up the sweets! I heard on Biggest Loser that dessert is o.k. (if your exercising) as long as you have it once a week.

The Guardian

Ok so I finished "the Guardian" by Nicholas Sparks and I liked it but it was kinda predictable. It is about a woman whose husband dies and it is a story of her dating and her trying to decided if she is really in love with her husbands and her best friend. There is also a stalker (old boyfriend). Without giving to much away, it is entertaining and I would have to say the end is pretty good!
I am excited to read more books by Nicholas Sparks!

Hunter Bryan Upchurch

Baby Hunter is here. My little sweet nephew arrived on Thursday at about 12:45 noon and he weighed 7lbs and 4oz and he is 19 inches long. He had not dropped so they had to use forceps and all the tricks to get him out. It was kinda scary there for a bit, the doctor called in another doctor for help. But in the end everyone is fine. He is the cutest little baby I have ever seen! Pictures will follow.

Lavonda is Having a Baby

Pictured here is my brother John and his wife of almost 6 years, Lavonda. They have been trying to have a child for about that long have not had any luck. Then about a year and 1/2 ago they adopted a little boy, Jacob. Now she is pregnant and about to have a boy. The doctor said they will induce next wed. We are so excited for them.
