More but not all of our summer went like this:

Grandma & Grandpa Fowler came for a visit!
went to the children's museum
We painted!
I went to a PTA conference in Austin, TX & had a few classes with Emma's teacher coming up this year!
Ate free lunches at school!
We went bowling!
went to the NW library to make space men and learned about Space!
we played with the kittens

So one thing I did with the kids this summer was: We got to visit an old friend and play with her chickens, goats, & ride her horse!
The kids had a great time!
So I don't think I blogged about anything I did with the kids over the summer! So here it is in a nutshell:
My Trip to San Francisco
I went to San Francisco for a day! I just needed to get out, it was Steve's idea. I had never been before so it was so fun to see the city! I started out the day by barely making the flight. But I was off and super excited!
Started the day off at the Farmer's market!

This is the view from the end of Pier 39. You can see Alcatraz off in the distance, some day I will bring Steve back for a longer visit & we will tour it.
Peir 39 is a fun place. You can get a crepe the size of a small umbrella, visit a huge candy shop, get any souvenir you desire or shop till you drop! For lunch I had the clam chowder in a sour dough bread bowl YUM!
As you walk past the Piers there are many street performers. Also I saw this walking down one of the streets. Live crabs! Although they are super expensive!

I hope you can tell from this photo how steep the streets are! I got my work out for sure!
This is Emma wearing her souvenir shirt and the fan I got her in China town. She loves it. Spencer also got a shirt and a trolley car toy and Steve got a cool old fashion key from the Alcatraz shop. Also a few other things! All in all it was a great experience! I am thankful for a wonderful husband who loves me!
Steve's Las Vegas Trip
I am pretty behind on posting about our life. Steve has been traveling alot this summer, including a quick trip to Santiago, Chile. Another one of the places he went to was Las Vegas for a Vmware Conference. Nerds paradise. He had a good time and here are some pictures. He was gone for 5 days and we missed him and was so glad when he came back!
Oh, and he got to see the Killers in concert.

Emma's first day of First Grade
I told her she had to learn to tie her shoes before they would let her go to first grade. LOL So I showed her once and she got it on the second try. I knew she could do it, she was just stubborn to let me teach her.
She was so excited this morning, we know her teacher and she loves her.
I am so happy!

We did this on a whim. It took me so long to get pictures up cause my phone was being repaired while we got her hair cut. That is why we got it cut cause we were waiting on phone to be repaired. I was just going to get it trimmed, but we asked how long it has to be to donate it to locks of love and they measured her and she qualified, so I asked Emma if that was something she wanted to do. You see ever since the movie Tangled she has not wanted to cut her hair. But when she heard that it would be going to someone who did not have hair because of illness she never hesitated. I love my little girl, she makes me happy!
Father's Day
I am so grateful my children have a wonderful father! The kids made him a frame and we took these pictures to get a picture we could put in it. We chose the one with out the nerf guns & fairy wand but we also got a collage of these two cuties & the above picture was included.
