B.L.A.S.T: Bringing Learning and Stories Together
That is the name of the little school Emma went to this year. Every tue and thur from 8:30am- 1:30pm. She loved her teachers and loved all the stories, painting, cooking, games, science experiments, etc that they did. And most of all she made lots of friends and sadly none of them will be going to the same elementary school that she is going to in Aug.
Here are some pictures of her graduation, she is so excited to be going to Kindergarten in the Fall.

Counsel for Mothers
Counsel for Mothers
"Sisters, find some time for yourself to cultivate your gifts and interests. Pick one or two things that you would like to learn or do that will enrich your life, and make time for them. Water cannot be drawn from an empty well and if you are not setting aside a little time for what replenishes you, you will have less and less to give to others, even to your children. Avoid any kind of substance abuse, mistakenly thinking that it will help you accomplish more. And don't allow yourself to be caught up in the time-wasting, mind-numbing things like television soap operas or surfing the Internet. Turn to the Lord in faith, and you will know what to do and how to do it."
M. Russell Ballard, "Daughters of God," Ensign, May 2008, 110

Create your own visited map of The United States
I saw this on my friend Jen's blog & had to do this myself. I have only been to 17 states but I consider myself blessed. I am hoping to travel more in the coming years. Good thing my hubby works for an Airline so I can.
I love to travel and see the beautiful country we live in.

Halloween in May
My kids have been watching Justice League thanks to their dad. If you don't know what it is look it up. They were asking me to make them costumes of Flash-(Spencer) & Hawk Girl-(Emma) but I knew that would take forever so I just ordered them. I figure they can be this for Halloween. They were so excited to get their costumes and have seriously everyday been dressing up & playing in them.
Teacher Appreciation Week
Skip to my Lou gave me this great idea for Teacher Appreciation week. A pleated coin purse. Inside I put a few small fun things like hand sanitizer from Bath & Body Works, lip balm & and a gift card. It is really easy to sew & fairly inexpensive to make.
Mother's Day
Saturday I went to the Stake Relief Society meeting. It was very uplifting and I actually learned a lot. Then Emma & I went to Dallas for my sister in law's baby shower. This is John's wife, Lavonda they are having #3 & yes it is a BOY! We had a blast! When we came home that night Steve had a treasure hunt planned for me. These are all the clues. He has done this once before and I absolutely love it. It is so fun & challenging. There were small presents along the way and my main present at the end, a label maker. I know I am a nerd. Ha ha!
Well today after church I got to take a 3 hour nap while Steve did dishes cleaned up from lunch and played with the kids. Then he made dinner! Then we put the kids to bed early (they were tired). I also got to practice the piano (my keyboard) for about an hour or so. I still have such a long way to go & I really look up to those that can play- what a talent. I want to get a piano but we need to save up for it. So let us begin. Well I hope everyone had a great mothers day.
I love my mother for the great example she has been to me all my life. I love her and also my mother in law, who has become like a mother to me. I am blessed to have such great women in my life!
