Have you ever been on a cruise???

I ask this question...."have you ever been on a cruise?" because I know a few of my friends have. I was looking into them the other day and the more I looked the more I got excited to go. I think we will be trying to save our money for about a year or 2 so we can take a cruise.

Hence I ask the question. I want you to share tidbits of advice and helpful hints or where you went and why you did or did not like it? Also what you did for your "on shore" time.

I look forward to seeing your reply.

Hey Kathy!
Jake and I went on a cruise for our honeymoon and loved it! It is definitely the way to go. I love that there is always something to do-swimming, dancing, shows at night, yummy food-all of those things are right on the ship. Then, I loved the beaches, of course. The most memorable excursion we did was a jet-ski tour that took us out on the ocean. It was amazing! We want to save up to go again!

Hi Kathy,
Andrew and I went on a cruise for our honeymoon, too. (7 days in the Carribean with stops in Jamaica, Grand Cayman, and Cozumel - left out of New Orleans) We went so we wouldn't have to plan anything or think about anything. We enjoyed it but wouldn't go again - too much money for twin beds pushed together (who likes to sleep in a giant crack?), endless crowds that you NEVER really get away from, and not enough time to see the places you're visiting - it takes an hour to get off the ship and an hour to get back on, plus travel time to and from your on shore activities.

It's a nice experience, but definitely not the best vacation of our lives. We could have had a much nicer experience just travelling to a great location, staying in a REALLY fancy hotel/resort, and doing things we planned out. And it would have cost a LOT LESS!
