Working out

O.k. so I have started working out again. Yes I know it has been a really long time. A lot of time wasted on feeling tired, making excuses and thinking I never had time to exercise. I guess the real motivating factor was that I was having a very hard time going to sleep at night and I also kept pulling muscles. Ouch! I decided I could not live like that. I even was kinda getting depressed. So I started small. Luckily we have a rec center in this small town we live in that is down the street (super close) and it is only $25.00 a year! Yes you heard me right!
Like I said I started small. I walked for 25 min on the treadmill. I did that for 2 days and moved farther from there. I added minutes and incline and speed. I also did the CV workout on the bike then I added the Elliptical in there and that thing is awesome. It burns a lot more calories and does it faster. I had to start out with 15 min on that and I am still at 15 min cause I have to admit it is hard!
So anyways I am feeling great now a days. Tired still -
physically - but great. Also we have taken the kids to the park more and on more walks. I told Steve I want to be an active Family. We have gotten into too much of a slump.
So now I would be doing good if I could just give up the sweets! I heard on Biggest Loser that dessert is o.k. (if your exercising) as long as you have it once a week.

Sorry about the size of the last paragraph. I don't know what is up? I tried to change it!

Keep up the new habit! Just focus on how good you feel when you're done exercising. Man, I need to get back into the swing of things, too! You're an inspiration, girl!

Like you said, it takes adding a little bit each time to work up to where you want to be. After Peyton, I had gained over 40 lbs and walking the park down here would make me tired (and that wasn't even walking the whole two miles). Now I'm up to running the whole park and then some and I've lost most of my baby fat (just replaced with muscle). I know you can do it. Even when you're tired, don't let yourself give up- get dressed for the rec and put your tennies on and go- this will help you make sure you get there and do your workout. Pretty soon, you won't have to talk yourself into going, you'll go because you enjoy it and you'll find that when you don't you actually miss it. Plus it helps having a buddy- maybe you'll meet some new ones there or you can ask someone to go with you so that way you're both working on a goal together. Have fun!

I really need to get my booty moving and exercise. I have become very lazy lately. I know I would feel better if I did.

$25 bucks a year!?! I am super jealous, but happy for you at the same time. :)

I thought you were going to say $25 a month and I was going to say that was good. $25 a year is a steal. Do you they have child care?

"Biggest Loser" is my favorite show! Way to go Kathy...you make me feel guilty for skipping working out! $25 a year is disgusting! That is not fair :)

That is fantastic! You can do it! Start small and don't get overwhelmed. Just take it one day at a time.
